Venetian Plaster was invented several thousand years ago by group of artisans applying plaster in layers. Color, texture and variation are Added by mixing crushed limestone, marble, silver or gold mica and special pigments. Faux Finishing, on the other hand, refers to artistic finishes for surfaces that mimic many things like stone, granite or marble using paint and tools like sponges, rags and muslin.
